What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is the state of altered consciousness where the conscious (thinking) mind is quietened and the subconscious (feeling) mind is more alert. Hypnosis can be achieved through focused attention and a deep sense of relaxation.
Similar to meditation, being in hypnosis feels very safe and relaxing. It is not a state of sleep or of loss of control. Hypnosis is indeed a state of hightened awareness and phenominal insight.
